Can we talk about the messed up YG/HSH case?

  • I know parts of this have been discussed to death, but not Han Seo Hee's phase as a trainee at YG Entertainment.

    - We know because of the court case that Han Seo Hee and YG met at a "high end" escort bar. He was her client, he paid her for sex. He admitted this.

    - At some point after this HSH became a trainee at his company. In the court case he blamed Seungri for sneaking her in. However YGE never had a large amount of female trainees, and YG himself oversaw every monthly evaluation. He knew she was there. Giving male idols the authority to recruit female trainees would be problematic in itself. But the company founder recruiting at least one trainee he met while she was a sex worker, and then putting her under contract to him is a wild power imbalance. (And not super dissimilar to the time he signed a girl he had a crush on and then sabotaged her career because he wanted her.)

    - It's known that while as a trainee HSH had a sexual relationship with TOP, and if YG is not totally lying, also with Seungri. She had B.I's phone number so she was on social terms with him, and she knew Seunghoon as she was fine meeting up with him after leaving YGE (only to be ambushed by YG instead). It seems that as a trainee she had basically free access to YG's male artists and trainees, in contrast to Blackpink who say they had very little contact with male artists or trainees. (Post-HSH damage control?)

    - So this leads to questions, mostly about the morality of the men at this company. How much personal agency did HSH have while she was at YG? How was she mixing with Bigbang members when another female trainee at that time said they were hardly seen at the company? I don't even want to voice all my concerns, but I feel like there is more to this story that hasn't come out yet.
