UMG is going all out for Pink Venom

I dont think i've ever seen a label go this hard for a kpop group except for maybe bts' Dynamite (armys correct me if im wrong). What do you think are umgs expectations? I think a top10 hot100, but not sure

I mean it has potential, the chorus is sick, rap is sick, so why not

They'll definitely get a top 10 on hot100!

what other group are at BP and BTS level internationally

dynamite was picked up by radios themselves. It shocked everyone when it broke both youtube and spotify records. Then went on toe to toe with wap which was viral collab between three hottest celebrities. Butter was pushed by cr because it was ron perry's own song. Dynamite was organic worldwide hit.

Interscope wants blackpink to hit big in us. They have been trying since 2018 with numerous collabs with big name celebs. But the best they have managed is number 13 and 8 weeks on hot 100. Pink venom is doing good numbers in us so they should rightfully push to get into top 10 after all these years.

I thought only Dynamite had gotten that treatment (comments have told me i'm wrong though & its promo was slower). Seeing bps first song after 2y getting managed like this by UMG is impressive

I can't stand the song the first time I heard it... but now after 10 listens... it's too addictive... did they put crack in their music or something... it gets better with each listen and slaps so hard with headphones on.....

I feel like it will have longevity for some strange reason

it got the highest streams in all of spotify for several days so why wouldnt it be on todays top hits. it got 10x more streams than other kpop songs so why wouldnt it be the cover of the kpop playlist. nothing weird here

I think they know that this is the best moment for them with BTS on hiatus. In the past BTS stole their thunder.

It's good that kpop groups are being promoted this well. But have to admit bts really paved the way.

Pink Venom started great, 7 days later is still doing great and we can see the potential.

PV debuted with 7.9M filtered streams, comparable to Dynamite. It's been super stable in top 3 on Spotify Global, still pulling 5M filtered streams a day after a week with no promotions yet. The DP and MV are doing great numbers on YT. They have a US label, that US label sees potential, why would they not promote a song that is doing numbers? Especially if they think the VMAs will give it a boost
