TBH Jessica's books justified her removal

  • I'm a SONE of 11 years, have gone through multiple events and attended few concert of theirs, and surely as hell i was there during 9/30

It's so evident that she's just one selfish girl who wants things to go her way. She clearly stated how she missed some training time/schedules of SNSD because of her business and you know damn well SNSD was busy preparing for their Tokyo Dome concert around this time. Her justifiying other members' absence made her look like an ass, missing schedules under SM that have been properly designed to fit into SNSD's training time for Tokyo Dome is much more reasonable than impromptu travelling schedule with your boyfriend for solo business.

TBH I would get why her actions would get on the members' nerves. SM clearly stated that THE BEST(Japanese Version) would be her last active period with SNSD & Tokyo Dome would be her end game before she go into hiatus to focus on her business. The WORST part is SNSD members agreed to this and wanted to send her off with Divine & ITNW (Ballad Version). The members honored her legacy towards SNSD by wanting her to be a part of the group's biggest dream at the time, performing at Tokyo Dome. The Catch Me If You Can EP was supposed the be her last album with SNSD before her hiatus

BUT NO she had to ruin all this because she can't properly handle herself. Tbh this can all be EASILY avoided if she decided to start her business AFTER her hiatus begin. Isn't it a common knowledge that starting a business would require A LOT OF time & in her case, travelling to meet her business partners. She specfically wrote in her 9/30 letter that she couldn't back down from her business because she had ready signed contracts with her business partners. Why the f would she set up her business on one of SNSD's busiest year, while still wanting to be a part of the group AND you are going to be on a hiatus after the Tokyo Dome concert?

Her book, actually answered everything to me(you need to read between the lines).

But it doesn't make SNSD's part of the story fully saint. After their argument in 'Shine' and Jessica picking to stay in the group & run the business, they voted her out(since that was the only way for them to be sure about where they are standing for their Tokyo Dome concert) but not even ONE person contacted her and poor girl had to know this in NYC, in a hotel room with her boyfriend?!

I totally understand the emotional damage that have on Jessica, who actually treasure her time with SNSD and wanted to give her best to the group. They should have allowed Jessica to join the China fanmeeting and have one last discussion(INCLUDING her) then decide to either continue as 8 or let her be(I believe this would have happened since Wonder Girls faced the same situation with Sunye)

TL;DR: The reason behind her removal was justified in her book(Jessica), the way it was done was messy as hell and no one to blame for that than SNSD.

    Approved the thread.
  • She was completely at fault. She made selfish decisions and paid the price. Anyone who followed them back in the would know that she was far and away the laziest of the group. She even apologized to them on a TV show for not carrying her weight in performances.

She was the second best singer and the second best dancer at debut. By the time she got kicked out she had regressed so much compared to the rest of them. To the point where the likes of Seohyun and Tiffany were getting the high notes along with Taeyeon instead. She could have been the biggest solo from the group but she threw it away out of pure laziness and greed.

  • Man, sones are still so petty, even 8 years later. Like group, like fans. The kicker is that NONE of you are the victim in this situation! Jessica is.

Right so writing a pseudo autobiography book with very obvious references to SNSD, SM and kpop in general and mentioning crazy stuff like being poisoned isn’t being petty right?

    My exacts thoughts

She was my bias in SNSD but she looks so petty. Like don't she has anything more important in her life to talk about that the only way she's relevant is when she mention snsd?

  • jessica ruined her legacy due to greed!

look how things turned out, snsd are doing amazing on their 15th anniversary together and jessica is in survival shows to be in a chinese gg cause of the huge debt she's accumulated

Jessica used to be my 2nd bias in SNSD and I was really hurt when she was kicked out. Due to rumours I even thought about unstanning SNSD because they allegedly kicked her because they didn’t like her and they were the pathetic ones.

But over the years it’s become more Jessica has never let go of it and still continues to make references to SNSD to the point of heavy fictionalization in her book with bullying, jealousy, even fucking poisoning which didn’t even happen to her or anyone, it happened Yunho when someone literally tried to kill him, why would you use THAT as part of a stor

  • all of them are at fault but we shouldn't defend the other members turning against her they should have worked it out better. Maybe deep down you all want to make her the bad one so it doesn't make your bias look bad.

  • What gets me is there's no proof that she was leaving, that Tokyo Dome was her last concert or that Divine and CMIYC were her send off songs.

    None what so ever.

What's even funnier is the same time Jessica got kicked out, Sooyoung was regularly gone for her drama and TTS were promoting..

Jessica got permission for her brand. SM had no issue with it and even wanted to push her further with an upcoming Jungsis unit and second season. Funny how they didnt see an issue

  • SNSD never even mentions Jessica, the 8 all get on just fine, even those who left the company still get along well and regularly interact with the others

What happened with T-ara and AoA again? was it the Individual who couldn't fit in or the Group who got along just fine who was the problem? My memory is a little Hazy

  • She can avoid that if she is from other company. She should follow whatever stated/condition her company give to her. I mean idols like GD, Baekhyun, Namjoo have their own brands and they managed to launch it without leaving their own group

The 9 of them got along just fine until one of them suddenly posted that they'd been kicked out.

SNSD members still rely heavily on the SNSD name to promote their solo work since outside of Yoona and Taeyeon, the others aren't doing that well. Looking like the get along is in their best interest. There's pretty clear cliques on which members actually get along vs which members barely interact with each other.

Since you brought up T-ara, when Soyeon and Boram left, the 4 never mentioned them again despite leaving amicably and having what people thought was a good relationship. It was until they tried regaining their solo careers that they started mentioning T-ARA when it was clear they weren't still close to the members

Sisterhood part of all groups' branding.
