I don't understand hybe acquisitions. Help me understand

They bought zico's company which didn't have much and source music that only had gfriend and gf was not that big of a gg (no hate). Hybe could've made their own labels from scratch instead of using millions to buy 2 labels with not much profit before the acquisition.

source music's ceo is bang pd's friend, maybe he wanted to help his friend who was on the verge of bankruptcy if it wasn't for hybe's acquisition

for zico's company, i think they want zico as inhouse producer for their next bg who will debut under zico's company.

Gfriend was a giant during their rookie era, Soumu had the reputation and experience of managing a gg. They acquired it to their their ggs under that label. Even ador took some of their staff.

Bang PD and the Source CEO were boys at one point so that probably had something to do with it. Also, starting anything from scratch will be a longer period then buying a company outright. What they should do is start buying companies, breaking them up and then selling the parts.

GFriend and Mamamoo were the biggest non big 3 girl groups when Big Hit acquired Source Music. They literally couldn't have acquired a bigger girl group lol.
