I know, it's still too early in the comeback season to really start with the YG bashing but I hate the way they've been managing this comeback so far
Their main goal seems to be to promote the "BORN PINK" era (aka the world tour which they will make loads of money off of) rather than the lead single - the born pink introduction video was cool, but the Pink Venom date announcement poster was lame af
But somehow even the tour feels rushed? Right now, the schedule is August 19th pre-release with hopefully at least 1 month of promo, which already brings them to mid-September. Either they will barely tease the album and have BP rush into promos for the lead single (Ice Cream had all of 4 days of promotions, so I can see them doing this) or they will release the lead single/album in early October and not promote it at all, instead having BP focus on the tour (which is also plausible, as it's what they did KTL era)
IMO, this feels unfair to blinks since YG has had ample time to prepare and we've been waiting for so long. They could have easily done July pre-release, early September album drop, and mid October tour, and used the extra time to properly hype the comebacks. I know YG rarely teases more than 10 days out which means real teasers start tomorrow and HYLT era also started with some lame Clip Art graphic but I'm still annoyed and I hope we get the best BP teasers yet tomorrow
Side note: even some of the tour dates are questionable - where is Latam, Japan, India? Why is there only 1 day in Los Angeles, and no other dates in Cali or anywhere else on the west coast? Why is there 1 day in Manila, when the Philippines has one of BP's biggest fanbases? And I know it says "and more" but let's be real, they are only adding extra nights in cities they are already playing in the US or Asia legs and probably a Japan dome tour...a whole new region of the world that they just forgot to announce seems implausible
TLDR: Fuck YG lol
