The NGG title isn’t given to the most popular girl group or the most successful, it’s given to the girl group that fits Korea’s image. That is why it doesn’t matter how many albums AESPA sell, they don’t fit what korea wants their image to be.

title is correct. explanation is wrong. the real reason is bc of giselle and ningning. ppl always bring up twice when talking about foreign members but whenever you go on korean sites, you only ever see karina and winter. if giselle and ningning are trending, its a hate post. even when ppl casually mention aespa, they just insert a picture of winter or karina. korea loved the twice foreign line whereas korea hates or ignores aespa's and i cant see the ngg being a group where korea hates half of it
