I'm getting major Pink Tape vibes from the pictures. Not in a 'Min Heejin is copying her past work from f(x) for NewJeans' way. But in a 'Min Heejin is taking something I really liked about Pink Tape and doing something similar with NewJeans' way. Both 'Pink Tape' and 'NewJeans'(the album) take inspiration from film and implement it into their concept.
Pink Tape was filled with pictures that looked like stills straight out of a low-budget indie film. The pictures were grainy and made the album look slightly outdated. NewJeans does something similar, however, the album takes inspiration from early 2000s coming-of-age movies instead. The preview pics look like teaser photos and screenshots from the girl-centered movies of that era. I just love what the creative team did with both of these concepts, and I'd totally buy both albums if I could.
