G-Dragon was never going to be global ambassador, but he was an ambassador for Chanel earlier, and argubly was the cause of the fashion world looking at K-Pop at all. I don't think YG had much to do with it except for being G-Dragon's employer. LVMH invested in YG because of GD. Korean media regularly name-checks him as the reason luxury brands sign up idols.

Perhaps? He wasn't the first luxury brand ambassador, many idols were in SK prior to him, but GLOBALLY, I don't know, perhaps?
I think for sure he was the first idol to design a capsule collection with a luxury brand?
I don't know why it matters either way though.

Actually Aespa was the first kpop group promotor in fashion but Twice has been doing endorsement brand deals since 2015 and bts as well.
With regards to fashion deals its GD who did it years begore any BP member and it’s BP members, not BP as a group.
Kai is not first. In kpop.
Then there’s Chinese stars.
