That one time when I was 11 years old and refused to watch a "scary" movie at my classmate's birthday party, so I talked with a clown instead.

  • I remember that I was at a classmate's birthday party.

And we were supposed to watch a movie.

We had to "vote" for what movie we should watch.

The classmate was picking out some DVDs and saying stuff like: "Who wants to watch this movie?"

And then they decided to watch a movie that was PG-13 (or as they say in Denmark "11 and up". BTW I just found out this movie is rated R in USA...)

I refuse to say what movie it was. (I just don't feel like mentioning that movie)

I was such a coward that I didn't feel like watching that movie.

I remember that we were watching the first minutes, and the first jump scare freaking had me cover my eyes.

Then I left that room and walked in the kitchen where I sat down with the birthday boy's mom and her boyfriend. (I remember thinking that the boyfriend was his father. I think they were just dating and not married.)

And I had seen his "father" in the children's television where he played a clown and some other stuff.

And he started talking about how he became an actor.

That was kind of interesting experience.

and this thread is kind of useless.

  • I was around 11-12 when during a sleepover party we watched 'the ring'. Well I had nightmares for days and didn't watch that movie since so i think you definitely did the right thing, instead of nightmares you got an interesting coversation

  • i think the scariest move i watched at a sleepover was mercy black.

movie still scares the shit out of me. im not scared of paranormal activity parts, but gore holy shit. its traumatizing. and it definitely was for middle school zuzu.
