Jhope solo album is a flop honestly

    Approved the thread.
  • I think it’s interesting but it’s not a kpop hit album

  • It wasn't made for charts, that's for sure.

If he cared about it he'd release a different sound

  • There are gonna be a lot more megaflops from these ''artistic and totally not kpop'' bts solo releases

  • I stan BTS but this was really a dissapointment. As the rappers i'm not expecting they release something i would like because im not just into rap hip hop genres, but at least Suga i can say i like some of his songs

  • Huh?! Serious?

It's one of the best albums I've ever listened to!

  • Go off.

NME have it a perfect die of 5/5

you just said that you aren't into rapline's music, how are you disappointed? did you expect him to sing and release happier songs? i'm not petty and i'm not attacking you for your opinion, i just don't understand how can you be disappointed when, as you said, you don't like hip hop

i assume suga's People fit you taste better

  • Right. I like Hope World a lot and I don't vibe with this whole album honestly. I know he's being experimental and wanting to showcase his other side, but I wished he worked on it more cause it's so lackluster. Nonw of the songs are a standout. Props to him for going solo first tho.

Looking forward to Suga or Agust D's music. I like his music the most out of the rapline and I think he makes good music or bops. For RM, I don’t really vibe with his music tho.

  • That's just his style, it's one of these you either like it or not.

BTS gotten to the point where they're so rich and successful now, they really don't need to make music that cater to the GP now. It's likely that the GP friendly BTS sound that made them so big does't fit j-hopes identity.

This may not be a hit but its very jhope and fans will just have to decide on their own if they can accept that or not.

  • Seems like he's making the music for himself now that he's done with being 'BTS'. You can even get that from the lyrics of his Arson song. This is how artist grow. By being done with BTS, I don't mean the group perse, but I meant in term of the style of music. If you're really a fan of him and not charting or sales, this is something great to look forward to.

Yall Army should be happy for him. I mean if the dude spent almost a decade making music for you, and he can't even spend some years to make his own music, wtf? yknow llol. Or maybe good riddance, only the real fans are left.

His style reminds me very much of younger Tiger JK.

  • || "cos BTS is not kpoop"...well no one outside kpop will listen to it either

I think there were plenty of khip hop artists and celebs at his record release party. I listened to it, and I hate kpop and it's fans like you with a passion. let me catch one of you cowards in the streets.

There are gonna be a lot more megaflops from these ''artistic and totally not kpop'' bts solo releases

These guys have all accomplished more then the whole industry put together. They are free to do what they want, and make the music they want, whether you brainwashed kpop fans like it or not. Imagine calling them megaflops, when your faves literally will be forced to starve, work 23 hour days to achieve 1/10000000th of what each member in BTS has already achieved lmaoo

I stan BTS but this was really a dissapointment. As the rappers i'm not expecting they release something i would like because im not just into rap hip hop genres, but at least Suga i can say i like some of his songs

I'm glad you learned a valuable lesson, no one caterers to you, if you didn't like it, find something to like and focus or enjoy that. But I forget we're in the kpop world where we spend our times complaining endlessly.

  • I do not get it what do armys want when taehyung releases songs they don't stream because it doesn't suit their taste and they're more into hyped music and when rapline release hyped up music they don't stream it either??

  • it's a masterpiece by my standard

I do not get it what do armys want when taehyung releases songs they don't stream because it doesn't suit their taste and they're more into hyped music and when rapline release hyped up music they don't stream it either??

armys are a big fandom so their taste differs, can't expect the same support as ot7 music

  • I do not get it what do armys want when taehyung releases songs they don't stream because it doesn't suit their taste and they're more into hyped music and when rapline release hyped up music they don't stream it either??

it’s not rocket science. Armys have their preferences and they are clearly pop and hiphop, not old school hiphop but tracks like mic drop or most recently run bts.

  • As long as he's happy with it himself.

Solo acts are the perfect opportunity for all the BTS members to venture into different styles and genres.

Else why would they go do solo things when it's exactly the same as what they've been doing in the group with exactly the same music anyway?
