it's sad that people are such success stans now

  • idk why people have become so obsessed with their favs beating others. it's ok to not be the #1 at something as long as you enjoy their music. why the need for trying to prove your favs are better than others? last time i know music isn't olympics :pepe-shrug:

  • Girl you know kpop stans see kpop as a competitive sport right? There's nothing wrong with that imo, if some people can freak out about a bunch of grown ups running after a ball then I think others should be able to freak out over their faves charts and sales. It's stupid but a fun distraction

  • Its the thing atm kpop

Everyone is crazy competitive, goes in all areas of kpop not just kpop fans.

You're wrong. The grown ups running after a ball are literally 2 teams competing vs each other. The only competition in kpop is the one between these delusional fans. I get that kpop fans want to feel better about themselves by supporting the best or biggest group, but we all know music isn't about that.

Who else is competitive besides kpop fans? If you mean the companies that push this competition and the who is better then who narrative. But the poor idols that are caught in the crossfire don't look at it that way.

  • Kpop has always been that way, just like sports fans.

  • kpop fans live vicariously through their favs

  • it's the formula for kpop, its not new, maybe youre new but it has been this way for as long as i can remember.

kpop is a sport, the normal average fans enjoy the music. some really 'dedicated' fans treat kpop as their identity. so if kpop is losing, theyre losing, if kpop winning, they are winning. they let it defined who they are. to them, it's either winning or nothing, there's no music.

the teenagers or young adults that think of this will one day grow up -hopefully-, to just be replaced by fresh meat who thinks the same. and you repeat it until whatever generation kpop goes on for.

  • It’s not a new thing

  • Yeah, the only thing I find worst than akgaes are success stans, they're kinda just on par with felons and people who wear socks with their sandals. :wellr:

  • you know what's crazy. i just got twitter a month back to follow kcharts. im seeing fandom's raising funds and mass streamings. having ones for morning and evenings and people are applying to these. like wow....

  • Why? Your faves ain't successful? Just enjoy them and don't mind the others.

Or your fave's company tried hard but still failed? Is That it ?

    :boredr:

That thread was clearly set up to get Aespa hate

  • I don't mind people supporting their group but supporting a group by slapping other groups down is just frustrating!

You can be proud and competitive without shitting on others
