Spotify, apple, etc. streams are low if fans are mostly from China

  • Stop dragging acts. There is no spotify in China. Hence, streams are low for those acts whose primary consumers are from China.

Spotify, Apple, etc. are not the end all be all on how fans listen to acts.

    Approved the thread.
  • Most of their streams can be checked on qq music though. Kpop groups music actually don't get very high streams there compared to domestic artists

  • I mean this is obvious but it means they dont have global appeal or little global appeal while the other groups have global appeal but little appeal in China.

  • Since some fans claim their faves are global.

  • Do you expect Americans to not be condescending and disrespectful of success in other places?

  • Same said fandoms claim their faves sales are global. :melon_think:

  • What's new, western k-pop fans acting superior and condescending about their own streaming platforms while ignoring and belittling other streaming platforms :wellr:

Out of curiosity, what do Chinese people use as alternative?

  • Do you expect Americans to not be condescending and disrespectful of success in other places?

    No. Americans are Americans.

And western people are western people, a lot of them still stuck in that colonial mindset where their own cultures should be considered superior and be followed and bowed to by the rest of the world.

  • so you saying they are local. Got it, now then stop setting up Aespa and other sm acts saying they are global

  • But they don't chart there too, They only sell albums, where are digitals? BigBang for example has a lot, Blackpink has a lot, others?
