then you can say even bts's performances at the bbmas was lip sync

even bts, "the kings of singing live" use heavy backtrack but were widely accepted by the western audience. why do you guys think aespa won't receive the same? if anything the western audience would find it difficult to drag them for their vocal capability, unlike the previous kpop groups.

All kpop groups performances in American TV shows were lipsynched, literally every single one of them, be it bts, blackpink, NCT, txt etc all of them. People just make a big deal of Aespa's because they already hate them.

aespa look very boring and unenergetic on stage. bts and all these other groups does not claim them to be vocal king or queens yet mys who claim aespa has the best vocal line do not even sing live most of the time. which is why when they finally sing live, they still give the bare minimum and turn the backtrack so loud.

Some of you don't know wtf u talking about. Aespa on Jimmy Kimmel was 100 percent Live. Only the chorus have back up vocal and they intentionally do that for a reason because they sing that part together, and it needs to be uniform and consistent.

And yes, out of the group I know who have attended American show, aespa is the most live and they sing well like really well compare to your typical kpop group on American show. The verses, the bridge have no back track and only the chorus have back up vocal. The self awareness and ignorance is staggering.

I haven't watched aespa's performance not that I care but that bwl performance is definitely live. Yes there is backtrack but it isn't loud. Loud backtrack example is the fake love performance.

Also I don't get this narrative at all. Most BTS performances in America are live with low backtrack or no backtrack at all.

Watch the first two performances I posted above. They were their first of the 3 performances in America. Don't lump your kpop groups with bts. BTS are the reason why k-pop has any market over here and k-pop groups can promote like they do. BTS have bettered kpop's image if anything. I don't care about aespa.

All of you have no idea what the heck you talking about. Aespa performance was 100 percent live except the chorus part because all of them sing the chorus part together, so it needs to line up. Beside the chorus with back up vocals, the verses and the bridge is 100 percent live with no backtrack whatsoever.

Maybe your typical kpop groups live sound horrible compare to aespa and you can't believe they were live and made up this narrative.

you only showed me a few performances that had low backtrack. But for the main stages like bbmas and amas before dynamite era, bts always used loud backtrack. That doesn't mean it wasn't live. It was live. it's just that people have changed the narrative of what's considered lipsync. also if you don't care about aespa this thread isn't for you.
