have there been other idols who've lost their voice?
Not the same, but Onew had surgery for his throat in 2014. His was mute for like three months.
Poor Nams. I'm sure he'll eventually make up for it in the future.

He was really scared he wouldn't be able to recover. But he has retrained his vocals and can sing more comfortably now. His technique and range has improved as well.

I had a very bad case of a virus (kinda like mononucleosis). I still don’t know which one it was (even after testing like for 6 different things) but my whole throat including my tonsils were inflamed (like red red inflamed). It was so bad that I had to take painkiller almost every hour. It was very bad I had problems with my voice up until 3 months afterwards

did it sort itself out or did you require antibiotics or something?
