I honestly sometimes wonder how Mys aren’t embarrassed about Aespa’s concept

Don’t get me wrong, I loved all of their songs since debut, but when I look back I remember how stupid I felt when I listened to black mamba.

As someone who lives in the west I always get picked on for listening to kpop and I think that Aespa is the last group that I could show to a westerner besides NCT because the concept is so uniquely cringy

I still wish the best to them because I think they’re talented girls and I adore NN, but I wish SM gave them a better concept

Outside of the fans, people listening usually don't know nor care about a concept, they just pay attention how great a song sounds, the power of the chorus and how great the MV and the artists look.

It’s ironically the opposite. I’ve seen people suddenly invested in aespa because of their concept and the whole lore and connections. If anything it pulls people in or at lest sparks their interest like what is black mamba? What are ae? Will there actually be more members? Do I need to watch the mv to understand further? Etc

You should work on your own confidence issues. If you enjoy listening to Kpop, own it. Don't let anyone embarrass you for enjoying it. I'm a 38 year old married guy with kids in a western country and everyone from family to work colleagues knows I listen to Kpop.

Aespa's concept is just fun entertainment, just different. There's no difference to watching sport, cartoon with the kids, marvel movies or video games.

Too many of you take kpop too seriously.

Enjoy what you enjoy, and stop being so judgmental and negative at what others choose to enjoy.

why would they? They aren't flops. They are very successful partly because of their interesting lore and concept.

their concept bring forward some of the coolest and most fun experience. SMCU, their whole cyber punk hyper pop aesthetic, the memes about the aes.

Their concept is unique and critically acclaimed. The fuck cares what normies think.

Their concept is actually cool and original among KPOP groups. Since today have lots of similiar innocent, girly, and badass kinda concept.
