How popular is Jessi?

I don't follow her but I have heard some of their songs and I have liked. The thing is kpop isn't really popular here but I find lots of folks listening and watching Jessi somehow. I even find some of them idolize her. So I wonder how much she is popular. Also personally I think she has strong and badass image that can appeal lots of westerners.
