Hybe and lack of creativity

  • Every BTS comeback more and more people are starting to notice that, despite the fact that Hybe has all the money and the resources to give BTS creative concert and a good budget, there has been a noticeable lack of creativity and less and less money spent on BTS for basic things.

Like the Proof concept pics were creative enough and the boys looked amazing but the execution was not that good. The bullet target in the background looked like it was picked in a landfill and the pics angles were weird and not flattering.

And in the Door pics they look good here at as well but it's kinda bland and people on Twitter compared them to a cf.

And concept pics is just one of the numerous things that Hybe has stopped paying much attention to.

Is it because they know that the BTS members are charismatic enough to make everything work, that they know fans will accept whatever they are given or because they feel like BTS are old enough as a group to stop thinking of more creative things and spending money on them?

  • These new photos look really cheap even small companies are doing a better job now a days. Hybe is in their jyp era.

  • I think they are moving away from kpop everything and prob won’t do “concepts” anymore

I just hope they open up to more photographers! Like the guy who shot Robert Pattinson for GQ is dying to work with them 🙏😓💜

They release games, merch and fanservice videos noon stop. Starting to move away from kpop from the concept pictures is really weird.

  • People who obsess about concept instead of music is yikes

that’s just HYBE being a conglomerate and using the image of their artists to promote products. BTS hasn’t done the kpop style album campaign in years though. i don’t think anything is lost from that.

  • Because Armys would eat anything anyway

I guess for a lot of game spending/ wasting their time on game development and that webtoon that made zero nose is preferable than what they consider the kpop album route.

Which is weird because, if anything, focusing on promoting your new album the best way you can, instead of other pretty much useless things artistically wise, would be better. But fans have somehow convinced themselves that somehow this is better, just because they hate the kpop label.

  • Why are you guys still put BTS in the Kpop box? Just face the fact that they move differently. They did Apple radio, got invites to meet Presidents, they did Spotify clips, comeback on western stages, etc. And still you guys are in your tiny kpop mentality. I personally love all of the concept photos, it’s very meaningful to the BTS story. Also, kpoppies should stop equating expensive photo shoots or MV with quality or creativity. I guess the mindset of Instagram generation is different now.

  • They're putting promo money where it should be to reach more general audience instead of wasting it on concept photos where only kpop audiences only care (where all people already tune in tbh). Can't blame them for doing that, since kpop audiences either fans or antis will already tune in no matter what concept they have.

  • I actually like this. I want more concept related photocards, not just harness and all that other kpop shit.

The first one was really good. The bullets with the crosshairs and everything. That was neat.

The door one looks boring. Idk but it looks like any random photoshoot. I’m yet to see the connection between it and the album. Maybe everything will make sense after the album release.

  • This comeback couldn't disappoint me more. I hope at least the music is good

  • less and less money spent on BTS

It is probably the same amount of money but minimum amount of work because of this

The people behind this think everything will work no matter what because its BTS, why work harder. I blame it more on the people they contract to do these jobs. They get the money and get away with minimal effort.

BTS are still kpop despite some different promo strategies.

If they weren't, they wouldn't be having photocards and goodies in the album and some of you wouldn't be using this fact at as a way to excuse the high album prices.

Just because they stopped going to Music Bank , it doesn't mean they left kpop.

The second set had no connection with the concept and the colors made them look like corpses. The angles and sold of the poses were so super awkward.

I guess it's tiny kpop mentality to look human and not look awkward in a photo.

Even the western artists put more effort into these things since you hate the kpop category so much.

The problem is that these days Hybe gives us neither expensive nor creative mv, concepts etc.

    It's the most basic things.

The fact a lot of you think that non fans will actually listen to the Spotify and AM thingies is cute.

And it's not just the concept photos. The mv will probably be basic too.

They have just stopped paying attention to details.

You know it's funny but so many people say shit about harnesses when you mention that Hybe didn't put any effort into the pics.

But the fandom collectively lost their minds over excitement when they wore harnesses in 2018. for FL. I guess you are a newbie and you weren't here for that.
