Why has Lightsum been flopping?

They have Chowon who was rigged out of Izone, they have hype predebut, have great dancers and come from Cube, yet their charting is nonexistent and sales are not high. Why have they been flopping?

Lots of other groups are more popular

chowon is overhyped. all of that was just talk, barely any real support

too many unnecessary member

Members don't shine well enough and their songs feel a little too generic other than their debut song, which was kinda annoying. This new one feels a little more lively but we'll see if it can gain them some traction.

They tried to pull in Iz*One audience after their debut flopped but forgot the part where Chowon had a whole attitude toward the rigged scandal and didn't account for the fact that most of the outraged people were only using her to hate on Iz*One girlies and didn't actually support her.

They should have debuted with vivace

Vanilla was a shitty debut song and their singing is generic, their voices dont stand out

Their songs are forgetable. There is nothing about them that standout.

IMO they have a couple of filler members and their concept is a bit lacking.

They should just have Sangah, Chowon, Nayoung, Hina, Juhyeon and Yujeong and go with a slightly stronger concept, and push Sangah and Hina more from a visual perspective.

I do like Vivace personally.

Wrong song and concept choices that fit the concept less killed a lot of the potential hype, sad to say.

Also Chowon's a wrong example: she was 1 of the aces in PD48 but Mnet and PD producers killed her hype by not including her into IZ*One.

On top of that, she's completely underused and wasted in Lightsum, it seems Cube if fully focusing in giving Nayoung a glow up, making her main vocalist next to Chowon and making Nayoung a main center.

One of the worst decisions of Cube imo, Sangah is a better center than Nayoung whose stage presence can't compare with most of the centers in other groups.
