MA55IVE The Rampage

  • I. Introduction:

    MA55IVE THE RAMPAGE (pronounced "MASSIVE THE RAMPAGE") is the first sub-unit of THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE. Formed in 2019 and debuting in 2020, this unit consists of five performers who take on the roles of rappers.

    II. History:

    2019
    On February 6, LIKIYA, Kamiya Kenta, Yamamoto Shogo, Urakawa Shohei, and Suzuki Takahide made their first appearance as a unit during THE RAMPAGE LIVE TOUR 2019 "THROW YA FIST" with a performance of an original song titled "Determined." The unit was still unnamed at that time.


    2020
    On February 5, with the start of THE RAMPAGE LIVE TOUR 2020 "RMPG," it was announced that the unit would be named MA55IVE THE RAMPAGE, and the song "Determined" was released on February 6.


    On May 27, the unit was scheduled to perform as the opening act of the EXILE SHOKICHI vs CrazyBoy "KING & KING" concert at Yokohama Arena in a battle with the rappers of BALLISTIK BOYZ, but the concert was canceled on April 8.


    On December 2, MA55IVE released their second digital single "No.1."


    2021
    On July 17, the unit released their third digital single "Drip Drop."


    2022
    On June 3, they released their first Music Card single titled "5," which was pre-released digitally on June 1.


    From June 3 to July 12, the unit participated in the joint live tour THE SURVIVAL 2022 BALLISTIK BOYZ vs MA55IVE × PSYCHIC FEVER alongside BALLISTIK BOYZ and PSYCHIC FEVER.


    On November 5, MA55IVE released their fourth digital single and second Music Card single "LIT."


    2023
    On May 26, they released their fifth digital single "Yume wa Yume no Mama" before releasing it as their third Music Card single on May 27.


    On September 13, the unit released their first CD single "INVADERZ."


    2024
    On March 11, it was announced that the unit's new song "Wild Boy" had been selected as the opening theme for the TV anime Viral Hit, which started airing in April. The song was later released as a digital single on April 17.


    On May 3 and 4, they performed at the live event "BEAT AX Vol.3" alongside BALLISTIK BOYZ and PSYCHIC FEVER.


    On August 14, MA55IVE will release their first studio album M5V, including the song "Gerbera," which served as the theme song of the movie Tada, Anata wo Rikai Shitai starring member Suzuki Takahide and was pre-released digitally on February 21.


    From August 16 to August 28, the unit will hold their first tour titled MA55IVE THE RAMPAGE 1st LIVE TOUR 2024 "M5V".
