[Un Cut] Neo Zone

I. Introduction

[Un Cut] is an ongoing YouTube variety/reality web series that follows members of the boy group NCT behind the scenes on albums, from recording sessions to dance practices to photo shoots. [Un Cut] Neo Zone is a portion of the series that follows the making of sub-unit NCT 127's 2020 album Neo Zone and its repackage Neo Zone: The Final Round. A behind the scenes on the MV for "Punch," the title track on the repackage, was released separately from the [Un Cut] series.

II. Overview

NCT or Neo Culture Technology is a boy group under SM Entertainment. The group structure of NCT is unique among K-Pop groups due to the fact that the concept of NCT is an ever expanding group with "unlimited" members and it is comprised of several individual sub-units. Currently there are 23 members in NCT making up four individual sub-units.

As sub-units prepare for their latest comeback, the [Un Cut] series has followed their preparations as a production diary beginning with NCT 127's Neo Zone in 2020.

The Neo Zone content set the stage for the ongoing content in the [Un Cut] series, including behind the scenes footage on photoshoots for the albums and photo cards, dance practices, music videos and recording sessions. Neo Zone had a large promotional effort as NCT 127's first Korean studio album in over a year, following 2018's Regulate and the group's first world tour, Neo City: The Origin.

Neo Zone also marked the return of Haechan and Jungwoo from medical hiatus. The album was released on March 6, 2020. Neo Zone: The Final Round was released on May 19, 2020.

III. Episode List

[Un Cut] Neo Zone content originally launched and is still available on the NCT Daily channel. Episodes aired from April 2 to July 16, 2020. Episodes are 12-30 minutes.

IV. Additional Content

Although it was not released as part of the [Un Cut] series, there is content around behind the scenes on the "Punch" MV. This content would become a part of each album's [Un Cut] content.
