SixTONES

SixTONES is a 6 member boygroup under Johnny & Associates (also known as Johnny's Entertainment) and Sony Music Entertainment. The group was formerly know as a sub-unit of the trainee group Johnny's Jr. The group made their debut on the 22nd of January, 2020. SixTONES debuted on the same day as the group Snow Man who is also under Johnny's. The idea of debuting both groups together made them the smost sucessfull groups in Johnny's-history.

The group sold over 5.2 million CDs so far.

Pre-debut:

Originaly SixTONES debuted as background dancers for the groups A.B.C-Z and Hey! Say! JUMP in 2011. In 2012 the group was selected to star as background dancers for A.B.C-Z in a drama based of an stageplay. Later that same year SixTONES got officialy announced as trainees.

In January 2013 SixTONES had their first TV apearance as boygroup performing cover dances of their senior group KAT-TUN. Later on the group got split into two different groups to perform various dance cover on TV. After this the member were almost never seen together.

In April 2015 SixTONES had their first performance as group together since 2013 performing more cover of KAT-TUN, excluding Taiga who was acting in a stageplay at that time.

In 2016 SixTONES apeared in a concert event by Johnny's and later on stared in a stageplay called Shonen-Tachi Kikippatsu. Following the group apeared in more concert events and stageplays troughtout the next years. Their debut along side the debut of Snow Man was announced on August 8th, 2019.

SixTONES is the first group under Johnny's that got their personal Youtube and Instagram accounts.

Debut and after:

SixTONES debuted on the same day as the group Snow Man on January 22nd, 2020. Trought the concept of releasing a double sided single with both groups on it, their first day sales skyrocketed to over 772K sales. The single includes SixTONES's debut song 'Imitation Rain' wich was written by Yoshiki from X Japan. Later that year in April SixTONES released the song 'Navigator' wich became the themesong of the Anime 'The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited' following the song 'New Era' that became the themesong of the anime 'Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon.

In 2021 SixTONES released their first album '1ST' wich sold over 467K times in the first week.

Their song 'Rosy' became the themeseong to the Spiderman movie 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'
