I. Introduction
Melvin Timtim is a renowned Emmy-nominated American hip hop dancer, instructor and choreographer who has worked with artists including Seventeen, NCT, Ateez and Treasure. He is the director of the dance crew S-Rank.
II. Career
Melvin grew up as a hip hop dancer in California, becoming the Hip Hop International World Champion in 2015. He continues to dance, teach and choreograph, earning an Emmy nomination for his work on the American TV show The World of Dance. Timtim created his first kpop choreography in 2018 for NCT 127. He also appeared in the JTBC show Why Not The Dancer?, which followed the main dancers of K-pop groups to Los Angeles, where they worked with American dancers and choreographers. On the show, he worked with Super Junior's Eunhyuk, SHINee's Taemin, Highlight's Kikwang and NCT's Jisung.
He was previously the Director of ChapkisDance Family and is currently the director of the dance crew S-Rank. He continues to create choreography for Western, K-pop and J-pop artists, and his choreography is frequently covered by K-pop dancers like Hoshi of Seventeen and Kai of EXO.
