  • I. Introduction

    WayV Lucas & Hendery is the third sub-unit of the Chinese boy group, WayV. WayV is also a sub-unit of the boy group, NCT. NCT is unique among K-Pop groups due to the fact that the concept of NCT is an ever expanding group with "unlimited" members and is comprised of several individual subunits. WayV Lucas & Hendery is the third mini unit out of one of the NCT sub-units, following WayV Kun & Xiaojun and WayV Ten & YangYang.

    III. Career

    Lucas and Hendery are both lead rappers and visuals in the NCT sub-unit WayV. Hendery is also one of the lead dancers, while Lucas is the center. Lucas is also a dancer and rapper in SM's supergroup SuperM, which consists of members of SHINee, EXO, NCT 127 and WayV.

    During promotions for the first WayV sub-unit, WayV Kun & Xiaojun, and the second sub-unit WayV Ten & YangYang, members continued to tease additional sub-units. On August 20, the new sub-unit was announced as WayV Lucas & Hendery across WayV's social channels and Weibo. The announcement came as Ten & YangYang began music show promotions for their single "Low Low."


    The group was scheduled to release the single "Jalapeño" on August 25, however the single and promotions were postponed as Lucas took a hiatus from the group.

    VI. Trivia

    - The two live together in the new WayV dorm with Winwin and Xiaojun. The other three members live in a separate dorm.
