I. Introduction
Play is the eighth studio album by Korean Boy Group SUPER JUNIOR, It was released on November 6, 2017. Only Six members participated in the promotions of album after members Kyuhyun and Ryeowook enlisted for the South Korean mandatory military service, while member Sungmin went on an indefinite hiatus following protests and threats of boycott by the group's korean fanbase due to his marriage -albeit he participated in the recording of some songs- and former member Kangin left the group permanently after a second case of DUI. Member Siwon who participated in the recording of all songs and the pre-release promotions had to take a temporary break last minute, following an unfortunate incident involving his parents' dog.
Play marked the group's first comeback after a 2 years long hiatus, as well as the return of members Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae and Siwon from their military service.
Play was also the first group album to be released under the management of Super Junior's own Label, Label SJ.
A second version [Pause] was released on November 28 of the same year with an additional song by the group's vocal unit K.R.Y.
