The LGBT in EA is basically, "let them be as long as they are not starting a revolution and pissing off the straight people too much".
It is not changing lol. It has been such for a long time. You can find LGBT apps (forgot the name) in PRC.
There are gazillion influencers or KOL on bilibili doing LGBT, les contents. So much so, their fans start to re-upload it on YT.
When you have a Korean Chinese trans person called Jin Xing 金星 on the national TV, it tells you a lot.
PRC (at least the state) is progressive, NOT liberal, for obvious reasons.

It is gradually "opening up".
I can also tell you that the gov't is well aware of the "decadent" of western culture since many, many decades ago. The gov't will not repeat the same mistake as the liberal world does.
People need to know that PRC has a long history/culture of "high virtue", "positive energy".
