MEOVV to Add Two New Members Ahead of Comeback

The Black Label has announced a lineup change for MEOVV. The label previously stated that MEOVV's debut success would determine any future lineup adjustments. The two new members joining are Jeon Somi, a solo artist under The Black Label and former IOI member, and Karin, a former member of Alice.

The updated 7 member group is expected to make a comeback in December.

With Soyeon having left and the remaining members of (G)I-DLE expected to depart in May 2025, Cube Entertainment is focusing on debuting a new girl group for which they held auditions earlier this year. Additionally, Lightsum's activities might increase in hopes of boosting their popularity.

She debuted first, so her contract expired before the other members. I think she will leave and wait for the others to also leave Cube, so they can continue (G)I-DLE under a different company or possibly under Soyeon's own company.

She can try for the 2026 Grammys since it's too late to submit any songs for the 2025 Grammys
