That makes me LOL so fucking hard considering the number of times people have taken the chaebols to court and the SK gov has changed shit around and then told the courts to find in favour of chaebols
And presidents pardoning a few family members of chaebols, too *cough* Lee Jae-yong *cough*

That's nice.
Anyway, whoever operates the Windows twitter account being such an unapologetic NJZ fan was not on my bingo card for this week.

Did you not see their unreleased song Pit Stop trending #1 on MelOn and going viral in China, spawning a wave of dance covers? Or all the NJZ merchandise at ComplexCon selling out? Not to mention their songs remain as strong as ever on the charts and haven't shown any ill effect.
Any noise about the ACTUAL Korean public turning on NJZ is just smoke and mirrors.
If they win their appeal and start releasing content with whomever their new agency is, everyone will be seated and ready to stream their new music.
China... Hmm...

NJ tactic is obivious right now, cry out in media to win sympathy and put pressure to have a solution in their favour. Can't blame them, probably their only chances they have.
Being emotional during court cases isn't a good look.

[theqoo] HANNI "PEOPLE CURSED AT NEWJEANS ON BLIND, I CAN DEFINITELY FEEL THE HATE"
Group NewJeans' Hanni (Hanni Pham) said that NewJeans received hate on Blind." (T/N: Blind = company forum where employees post anonymously)
She said this at a National Assembly hearing, referring to it as workplace harassment. I didn't know that cursing on Blind counts as workplace h*r*ssment.
original post: here
1. They must live such easy lives. I'm jealous
2. But everyone hates on everything on Blindㅋㅋ I'm more fascinated that she reads Blind
3. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋSo if you're cursing your boss on Blind, does that mean that you are committing workplace h*r*ssment?
4. It's impossible that you guys are liked by everyone in this worldㅎㅎ
5. Blind even criticizes regular contract workers.
6. How can they expect everyone to like them?ㅠㅜ There are people who hated Buddha and Jesus too. This is just how the earth works. Get in your right mind
7. Sigh... these kids are seriously..
8. Hanni-yah, not everything can get resolved through your feelingsㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
9. They are all so whiny
10. I hope you just go back to your country...
It tells you that they don't care about younger people (and I can assume these are men making those messages), and how xenophobic they can be.

I also have the same opinion.
The way they went about it right now and the timing of it all was not right.
No one said they’d have to eternally live the HYBE life under poor conditions. But right now whatever they are arguing with does not feel like much of a case at all and I fear they will lose in a manner that would be the worst possible outcome.
In order to build a case, they'd need a year's worth of evidence, not a few months without MHJ. Flying off the bat like they have was naïve of them.
-
It all started in 2021, IIRC, because she took her time to create her group at SouMus. I've heard there was a codename for the then-group, but I'm not sure if it were real.

We can agree to disagree then. I think NJZ made the best possible overall choice given the circumstances. You're free to feel otherwise.
But you're also not a fan like me, and I prefer my favorite idols not silently suffer and be miserable just to appease the corporate despots maliciously manipulating their careers.
In order to build their case, waiting until MHJ's court cases had verdicts and all appeals had been exhausted, would've been the best case, as by then (sometime in the middle of this year), they would've have more evidence to say that Ador's current management mistreated them (especially if the hiatus thing became official).

People that keep mentioning MHJ as the reason why the girls left the company are so tiring seriously. They've mentioned many other reasons we're so tired to repeat over and over I'm genuinely disappointed people can't empathyze with them and understand to leave was their only realistic option. You'd expect after the internal documents were exposed the Kpop community would open their eyes but no way that's impossible.
I can agree with people that suggest they should have waited more or do it in other way, I've read some interesting opinions... But to stay at Hybe was not an option, and if you think so you're either missing a lot of context, wanting to hate on the girls, or simply you're dumb.
I think waiting until the verdict on the shareholder agreement case might've been better. By then, the girls would've been without MHJ for getting closer to a year. However, we are were we are.

I think both of these can be true. I cannot speak for LSFM situation; however, Illit can be adirect attempt to sabotage NJZ. At the same time, it is entitled behavior to believe NJZ should just be the only gg or no should have a similar concept within the company.
The problem is HYBE. If they spaced these debuts out a 3-4 years apart, then I do not see a problem with ILLIT. However, they decided to debut Illit after NJZ and had similarities. Coincidences this big is rare in big business.
I absolutely despise HYBE for this reason: pumping out groups like they're a factory product with no sincerity and love for the craft. All the girlies have insane potential but stinky HYBE sees them as a factory product.
The problem with the structure of Hybe, that seemingly blurs lines between what is separate, and what is not.

Rebel Heart, all the way!

Or the official twitter account following a NewJeans anti account (this was obviously staff, not the girls)
Or Belift releasing a video that sourced information from DC Gallery
Oh, I definitely took the high road by just simply linking the thread, because the switch up from certain very vocal users is hilarious.
We have so many people caught in 4K calling ILLIT copycats, but I've seen them in these Megathreads and elsewhere trying to call Bunnies toxic or crazy for making those very same arguments, once MHJ said "Hey, I agree. They are copycats."
This is why you can NOT trust K-Pop stans to have honest and good faith discussions about these topics. The only thing that matters is their agenda to slander "rival groups" as much as possible.
It's a simple case of wanting your favs to be top-dog and crushing everyone else. No room for competition, just your favs.

I really hope it does not take more than three years.... It will take time if they don't reach ansettlement, but I can't believe it would as much as take three years. In that case it more or less over for NJ if they don't make a settlement.
"Yonhap News talked to several legal experts, and if both sides remain firmly opposed, they predicted it could take at least three years for a final ruling to be made"
Profit/Revenue-sharing agreement it is then. No-one will want to drag this out for three years, and Hybe won't want to eat into what little profit they have into spending it in legal fees.

Blop, but I find the EP rather scattered in terms of musicality. I thought it would all be in some vein to I DO, but it isn't.
