Display MoreWell... feel like a lot of people might assume it.
Especially because of media that has this autistic person who is super smart.
Well... in the popular kdrama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo", the main character Woo Youngwoo is supposed to be very smart. (I haven't watched it though)
But I have also felt as if people think autistic people are very unclever.
Like when someone uses it as an insult, I feel like they are trying to say that they are unclever. (BTW I hate it when people use that word as an insult.)
Well... I'm autistic myself and I think I'm smart because I have been told that a lot. (I'm not trying to brag.)
but I don't think I'm an Einstein, and I also don't have savant syndrome.
Because of the thing about me thinking that most people assume that autistic people are smart, I sometimes have tried to be that "very smart" person.
And I don't want people to think that I'm unclever.
Besides if we look at it from another point of view, it really makes a lot of sense, because I did a writing with the help of https://edubirdie.com/examples/autism/ and I understood that autism is actually a disease not like many people imagine, it actually is not so drastic and depends on what kind of. For me this also was discovery, now I stay more in the internet to read various developing posts, I implore you to do this too.
Sorry for picking up the thread, but it's very interesting to me, but how do people with autism understand that they are people with autism? I mean this could even be one of us... But on the other hand I agree that they are just as smart, even smarter than ordinary people.
