Have you made up the recipe by yourself? What was the source of your inspiration?
I would replace Belgian biscuits with freshly made dough. That's my personal preference because I can't stand the taste of Belgian biscuits. The dough for cherry pie is complicated to make because once you screw up the proportions, it can't be saved. I'm not sure if you know how to cook crustless pumpkin pie but it is an alternative to cherry pie. It's much lower in calories, easier to make, and most important isn't sweet as many other pies.
