I am now on ep 7 and this drama has been fantastic. The pacing is great, acting on point, chemistry is super strong too. It’s more romantic than I thought LOL for a thriller but I like how well the writer did to showcase how childhood trauma can be - both leads carry loads of it because of their toxic families. Lots of twists and keeping things interesting and the writer doesn’t over do the cliches or Kdrama tropes.
I still only complain about Hee Joo’s eyebrows and sometimes her character’s annoying tendencies but I know it’s super realistic as someone who suffered from deep emotional trauma.
I am rooting for the leads but gah they need to go no contact with their crazy toxic abusive families.

Very smart move of ADOR to help Hanni by claiming her contact is still valid re visa issue. Because if immigration accepts the documents, it becomes another evidence that the contract is still valid by another govt agency for the courts re contract’s validity. If Hanni still uses this visa - she also contradicts her own claim that they are free from ADOR.
Legal chess move.
Correct typo

but the thing is my friend it is the party who seeks to rely on their legal rights that take the matter to the courts (usually)
let's say I bought a new car but it turned out dodgy - therefore the dealership or manufacturer has already gotten their $$$ and aren't seeking to rely on any form of legal rights however it is my claim that the car is faulty therefore if I seek to rely on my rights then I would have to sue the dealership/manufacturer
in NJ case their claim is that there is mistreatment and thus they terminate their contract and now the ball is in ADOR/hybe's court to decide what they want to do with that whether they seek damages or injunctions or whatever else since it is them that seek to enforce ADOR's rights under the contract
the same situation can be seen where the company terminates a contract and if the idols seek to enforce some right under the contract ($$$???) then it would be up to the idol to seek assistance from the courts
Yes I agree with all that you have said. What I am pointing out is that - these type of cases usually go to court! Despite what one side says vs the other etc. Other users were saying I don’t understand that there were ways to break contract without going to court. It’s not possible in a situation when one side doesn’t agree to the termination.
Since they disagree - they have to use the court to resolve it.
-
Well if they (as in NJ and ADOR) agreed to break the contract mutually they wouldn’t need the courts but in this case - that’s not what’s happening.
When one side claims one thing and the other side, the opposite - most situation uses to court to legally sort it out. Like it is common sense.
But go ahead and believe as you do since everyone is so very sure what NJ is doing is legal.

I haven’t been following too much cuz of real life and I can’t believe it’s still going!!!
Now that I am on my holiday, had time to catch-up.
in the real business world —— The only way to legally end a contract before expiration is to take it to court. This whole mess of a drama could have ended if both sides just agree to go separate ways via the courts.
NJ has the right to terminate their contract but they have to go through the legal system. It is the easiest and fastest way and it says a lot to me that they don’t choose this path. I get they don’t want to pay but this mess will make things worst, especially if they don’t win.
Their strategy to not file for termination of contract officially and pressure ADOR into filing first for the breach of contract is that they don’t want the burden of proof. They want ADOR to file and accuse NJ of breaking their contract illegal first.
However, ADOR hasn’t filed for a breach of contract either - even now - they just asked the court to check if the contract is valid or not. It’s because one side can’t just say a my contract is terminated by themselves.
If contract is terminated but still using ADOR resources to do the work —— how is it really termination per their claim?
If the media articles about the tampering claims are true and the court rules their contract is still valid - it’s gonna be super rough.
Guess we’ll know more in Jan when the court decides if contract is valid or not
