selling clothing line three month after debut is a nice flex

yeah.. well there's no suspense or tension anymore but it's still pretty exciting to watch
-
they are the only group I ever encountered where it's impossible for me to pick a bias
with every performance or content I watch it changes

I just watched first episode of Iland 2 and I have to say I'm pretty happy about izna line up as it is
still not completely sure about jiyoon and sarang but I'm warming up towards them..
I also quite liked fuko and sujung
I didnt follow the show at all before so I'm curious if there are any girls who were popular but didn't make it in the end?

GD's old man vibe is strong in this one heh
I saw a comment on the first episode on yt saying that GD decided to release HSH as a "solo" because for him it isn't really big bang without top... since he said he kept the song for the longest time and it was originally big bang song, but he didnt release it under big bang label now only as feature...
I thought I'm pretty content with the whole situation now but comments like this always make me so emotional

I really hope they do something about their hairstyle next cb
they are all very pretty but they need some color and different lengths to highlight it
i don't know if this is intentional or not, but they look too much like newjeans here

yes yes heya was one of the best songs and best MVs released this year
and their stage outfits and are the best, it's never boring or too repetitive
they always look gorgeous
-
I wished they made normal MV for body but I changed my opinion
the performnce video with crowd captured the vibe of the song really well
I love it

kinda agree, aespa has some very good unpromoted b-sides, but some crappy ones too
I think savage, my world, armageddon and whiplash are pretty solid albums, but there's always at least 1-2 songs I never listen too and always skip
but to be fair, there really isn't many other groups with amazing b-sides that do not sound b-sidey or redundant... I can think of only one group that truly has a no-skip albums

This further proves my point. More charts equals more toxicity, especially among international fans. I remember when I-fans were more accepting of multistans, rival fandoms, and rival groups. Now it's gotten much worse.
I like that K-pop has broken into the Western market even if it's still a niche, but a side effect is that I-fans became much more toxic. It's all due to charts competition.
Maybe some users weren't K-pop fans during 2nd gen and early 3rd gen, which is why they don't see it as I do.
I don't know about that, I used to be active kpop fan since like 2015 and imo it was pretty toxic and competitive back then too, there was a lot of rivalry and anymosity between fandoms and between company stans, and multistans were untrustworthy
bashing threads were absolutely thriving is what I remember

Personally I roll my eyes at the anti-chart discussion narratives.
Is there a ban on people making other types of threads? And are people mandated to engage and participate in more metrics driven conversations?
If people want more appreciation threads, they should make them and try to get some good engagement. See how it goes.
I personally believe there's nothing wrong with discussing arts OR charts. I do both all the time.
I don't believe there's anything wrong with discussing charts either...
charts and achievements have always been a huge part of kpop stan culture and I see no good in acting it isn't, but if people are annoyed by too many charts threads or hate certain topics then they should be able to express that opinion, too
tbh simple appreciation threads will never get huge engagement unless they are clickbaity or shady and pitting groups against each other, it is what it is

I don't think there's more talk about charts. There are actually less domestic charts today than there were 10 years ago. This is somewhat offset by the emergence of global streaming services and K-Pop groups being able to achieve success in the West at a scale that wasn't common during previous generations, but I don't think the frequency in discussions has increased.
People just argue about different charts.
If anything, the conversations have become diluted due to there being so many different platforms fans can use to benchmark and use as indicators of success.
This one may prefer Apple Music while another may prefer Spotify Global and another puts heavy weight on MelOn
That's all.
I see.. I agree with you though, I don't think akp users are talking about charts and various achievements more or more passionately than they used to some years ago
