The first two verses sang by two members were fine, it actually sounds good. From that point onwards, it became a Trainwreck until we had a slight relief at the bridge. I wouldn't rate this as flop because I did enjoyed the beginning but I also won't consider this even as a blop. It's somewhere in between. One thing I know for sure is that Hawna hawna, Baila baila and shoog shoog just found their closest relative. That "My hip is a wagon" is goosebumps inducing and not for the right reasons.

I still don't like it. I still can't get myself to listen to it fully after I tried numerous times before. I only get to listen to it randomly in YouTube shorts and the likes but even then, the "shoog shoog" and "baila baila" still throws me off. I still cringe hearing those parts. Additionally, the shout singing style going on in the entire song is really not my cup of tea.

SM really missed up with our heads when even us fans are worrying that much. I must admit, I refrained from engaging in any discussion since the announcement was made because I'm worrying too much about aespa and I don't want to put my hopes up. It's not that I don't trust the girls, I know they're good when they can impress me predebut prior to any training but I don't trust SM. I know they're capable of pulling the biggest disaster out of their pockets and I'm afraid SM will screw this up. Thankfully my biggest fear did not happen.

I sure hope so. I'd like to think that had automatic been released in this era, it would have been a commercial success especially that people are actually thirsty for another Psycho. It may not be similar to Psycho, but it's just as dark and eargasmic.
