Using this logic, Britney Spears should be a better singer than everyone's faves.
There's no substitute for talent.
Your logic itself is pretty dumb though. Britney Spears is not the greatest singer alive neither has she performed the most among all artists.
Also this comparison between other singers is stupid when it’s about being a much better version of oneself. Some of our biggest live singers we have had are much better performers in their later years compared to their debut/earlier years.
Experience is the true key here.

I saw that they were able to at times to command the stage like Svt, Stray Kids, BTS and BP all of which are the top groups with 6+ years experience. For a less than 2 year old group with little pre-debut training, that is pretty impressive. When they were stuck in their music show choreography mode it was less interesting.
Vocally it was ok, not great, not bad.
I'm interested in seeing how they go next week.
I don’t think the pre debut excuse works when you have members who have been idols longer than some of our faves

I didn’t know they sounded this bad live
But still props to them. There was barely any backtrack. They should keep singing live more often because better live singers is not because of talent, but rather experience. They have a lot of room to grow

it's actually crazy when you think about it, they've actually never had a proper korean comeback after the huge success of the english trilogy and never got to capitalize on that success
Their last tour in Japan was 7 years ago.
I’m telling y’all. BTS will be doing 3M attendance from just the US and Japan alone in their next concerts leg

Illit got into TTH and the next day they only gained +71,598 filtered streams. So all this crying about playlisting just show
1. people crying were clueless
2. their group(s) will still flop globally even with tth playlisting
Thats not how playlisting work. You don’t gain millions of streams on your first day like that. The streams accumulate and it drives up your monthly listeners. Labels add songs to TTH for stability

American tv crew just takes the raw feed. They don’t pull those camera gymnastics that’s done on kpop shows. So if a choreo looks awkward, it’s gonna look awkward just like how you will see it irl.
So if your performance and presence still don’t lack on an American stage, then it means you’re just that good

I want to see how BTS next comeback in Japan will fare

Hyung line suffers a lot. We had this issue even before boycotts

Let's not re-write (recent) history. On the record, what you actually said that people took issue with was:
And then ARMY came to defend themselves from your "insult". Thread wasn't really about JK following the girls then was it? So you're denying that you weren't trying to call out ARMY (and make up a new term "FARMY" when it just looked like you fat finger typo-ed it)?
Toxic is as toxic does when the pot calls the kettle black.
Love the receipt. I remember this user making it about armys attacking the girls then when they got confronted with evidence saying otherwise, they tried to double down and go the “armys are bullying me. I had no bad intentions. Y’all are toxic” route lmaoo
It’s just rinse and repeat

It's funny when I searched for info about this again that Google placed an akp thread from back in the day at the top of the search results. Our perceptions really change when time passes by.
The thread did remind me of the fact that a section of bighit/hybe shareholders such as Korea's National Pension Fund were firmly against bighit becoming independent. Without the independent label investors might be able to pressure hybe into giving them more specific info about BTS related stuff that they do not like to share. Hybe might not have total control over bighit, but more importantly the independence status guards bighit and its artists from the demands and priorities of hybe's shareholders.
the mentioned thread: Big Hit Music has been successfully hived out as an independent private subsidiary of Hybe despite shareholder opposition
Good point. If shareholders still had control over bighit, they would have never protested.
I don’t think bighit is truly independent of Hybe but there’s definitely some sort of legal protection they have obtained against external influence
I am guessing that’s what Jasmine_Waters is trying to point out but wasn’t clear

It was literally previously known as "Bighit labels" so I don't get it when some armys claim hybe has nothing to do with bighit, in fact bighit is hybe and hybe is bighit. Bang PD was who previously owned bighit, now owns hybe. Every deal hybe does directly impacts bighit first later other labels. Ador is the only label under hybe I'd call independent. After them maybe koz then pledis and others.
Yall confuse creative independence with legal independence. They aren’t the same
