Did you see my basement,
Did you see my basement,
It’s hella trophies and it’s hella big.
If any of you dare to laugh at my lyrics
I think it’s super clever

I'm pretty open about cultural appreciation when done properly. They could still do this kind of world concept by sourcing legitimate traditional clothes made by the culture that still worn by the local people in modern times, then write a bit about what the idol member learned about that particular culture, showing proper understanding and appreciation. For example, "This outfit I'm wearing is made by the XXX people from XXX country. I learned that the unique pattern represents YYY and it is worn on ZZZ celebration/holiday!" Honestly not difficult to do at all.
But instead, they bought cheap insensitive halloween costumes

If they merge the two I hope they keep the Weverse interface. I downloaded V two days ago after being off of it for a year and got lost in the app straight away. 😩 Clattered and hard to find things on it. Like... how do I unsung from artist? 👀 I still have things on it from years back...some artist who is in court or in jail. 😂 geez. My V app needs a cleaning.
oh ya I HATE the vlive interface so much. I bet the new app will have something similar to Weverse’s interface because Weverse is the model app. It could still be improved but it’s getting there.

Can groups gain more fans?
How many people are using it?
External Content twitter.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy. This data is a bit old but you can see the massive growth of Weverse in terms of new active users and engagement time, meanwhile vlive is losing users and engagement time.
This doesn’t really matter in the long run since Weverse and vlive will eventually merge because of the Naver-BigHit partnership.
I don’t know if other groups are gaining fans since I only follow BTS. But I think most fans will benefit from the platform. Weverse is like a one-stop shop for social media interaction with the artist, video content, and direct merch.

Weverse app is also on smart TV so you can watch all of the content on the big screen. Vlive could not cast subtitles properly. Weverse fixed all that and is super organized. The interface is similar to Netflix on TV.

Weverse is a notification app for me lol. I see someone posted and I go to Twitter to check the translations
Who’s your fave? You don’t watch their content on Weverse? The Weverse app is now on smart tv too and it’s so nice to watch everything on big screen I hated vlive because the subtitles could not be casted.

With that many drums, they should have done ON with a live drumline.
Or IDOL. I thought they were playing idol at first when I played the video with no sound

I'm thinking maybe lives by next year?
No clue. I just really hate vlive’s interface. It’s so awful
It takes a lot of juice to handle ARMY traffic though. I wonder if Weverse can handle it yet. I can’t believe JHope managed to crash every single app last month. App all-kill

This is so lovely. Also the big banner in the back is in Vietnamese. It looks like different groups joined hands and organized this together. I love seeing unity in the Asian communities like this

It will be summer soon, it continues to resonate with the masses as a summer bop.
I look forward to playing the Christmas remix next Christmas!!!!

Finally. I really want to know what it is like from the perspective of a Chinese person. Are you from mainland (I don’t mean your current location if you live abroad or not but rather your country).
I'm from mainland China but I live abroad now. I want to share my perspective to focus on the Uighurs people since I think it's been hard for people to of the world to grasp the situation without really knowing them.
The south of China where I'm from is generally more friendly to the muslim community because it has one of the world's oldest mosque, and the political machine isn't as intense there as the rest of the country. When I was younger, I remember seeing lots of Uighur people working as street merchants selling their traditional crafts, or Uighur fruit snacks on the side of the road. They always stand out because they don't look ethnically Han Chinese and they always proudly wear their beautiful traditional clothing. It always breaks my heart knowing that they are thousands of miles a way from their home of Xinjiang. The Uighurs are good and innocent people and they are basically forced to travel to the other edge of the world to find a little safe place to make a living and survive. The weather climate is so different for them, and it's just so so far away. The situation has gotten worse over the years back in Xinjiang and sadly many ordinary people in China don't have as much first-hand interactions with the Uighurs so they don't really "see" the gravity of the situation. The CCP has ramped up nationalistic rhetorics and the boomers/cultural revolution generation is especially susceptible to these messages. I'm more alarmed by the younger generation as well who are buying into the nationalistic messages.
