I'm proud as hell of BLACKPINK, the 2nd best selling female album of the year in pure sales when like 5 of the main pop girls released albums in 2020. First girl group to even appear on this list since Destiny's Child in 2004. The power they hold.
Congrats to BTS as well for the domination.

Hanteo would still be enough to put Seventeen on the list, they had 1.14m sales on Hanteo, the lowest on the list is 1m.

I think its like the digital ones where the around first 6 weeks or something count.
Also BE essential & deluxe are combinded on gaon as they are the same album (BE just got its 3M certification which shows that it was combined).
In that case,
Q1 - IZ*ONE, Treasure, Kim Ho-joong, Shinee or G-Idle with IZ*ONE winning
Q2 (based on confirmed comebacks) - Rosé, Baekhyun, Ateez so far with Baekhyun winning
Q2 onwards could go multiple ways based on if or when BTS, NCT, Seventeen and possibly BLACKPINK make comebacks
-
Are we talking about the same Rosé?
-
I'm not 100% sure on how Gaon works. Is it only sales specifically of that Quarter or is it albums released in that quarter but counts the sales for the whole year?
Also would BE Standard Edition count?

Wait nvm I'm dumb mods delete this comment

This one is a lot better than the first MV teaser, I did not like that first one.
-
Probably not. Instrumentals get considered as the same song, so I think it's still counted as 2 songs.
-
I know it would only contain 2 tracks lmao, and i’m not that mad about the instrumentals.
I’m curious about the producers for the title track tho. Can someone research who are they? Lmap
Jorgen Odegard:
On The Moon - Adam Lambert
Holy - Justin Bieber ft. Chance The Rapper
Unbothered - Tori Kelly
Bad Liar - Imagine Dragons
Ojivolta:
Fun - Selena Gomez
Graveyard - Halsey
If I Can't Have You - Shawn Mendes
Jon Bellion:
The Monster - Eminem ft. Rihanna
Trumpets - Jason Derulo
Fall In Line - Christina Aguilera ft. Demi Lovato
Shameless - Camila Cabello
Liar - Camila Cabello
Graveyard - Halsey
Memories - Maroon 5
Vulnerable - Selena Gomez
Prisoner - Miley Cyrus ft. Dua Lipa
Holy - Justin Bieber ft. Chance The Rapper
They all overlap to some degree.

Throwback to like just 6 months ago where BLACKPINK never writing was a frequent drag. We love to see the growth.

I think everyone is a little too quick to call an English title track sabotage, Rosie was literally involved with designing her album and the stuff in it, she got to choose the name, she insisted on performing Gone at The Show, I'm pretty sure she was allowed to have a say on the language of her title track.
-
Has anyone considered that Rosie wanted her songs to be in English? Since she's evidently had a fair bit of creative say in her solo.
Also, it's very unlikely they're pushing her to the west, Interscope probably won't playlist her that well and probably won't push her to radio either. Korea is likely the focus, even if it is in English.

Not really blackpink and Bobby were getting something on saturday
BLACKPINK also got stuff on a Sunday, so did AKMU, so did Treasure, so did Mino, so did Bobby. So by the same logic we should've be expecting Sunday teasers.
It's a recent thing that YG did weekend teasers so consistently for a while, then skipped a random weekend with iKON's most recent comeback.
-
Don't expect teasers on Sunday lol. But yesterday was pathetic from them
Yesterday was the Saturday teaser, which is another day you should also not expect teasers on.
-
I mean YG didn't usually do weekend teasers until quite recently, weird that they suddenly decided to switch back.
-
She passed it hours ago, she's already at 112k lol

5H were tricky, whilst they were famous and known ( I don’t know how world wide known) they made small impact outside usa and they didn’t last that long before breaking apart
I mean I guess it's more their songs than them, Work From Home and Worth It specifically.
