My school used to bulk buy books for all major subjects and distribute them among students for a small fee. Our parents had to sign a form stating that, should their kid destroy our lose a book, they'd replace said book. My mother refused. She also refused to buy my books, because she was convinced that, if we just remained steadfast, the school would relent and give me books for free. For about two weeks I got reprimanded daily for not having brought my books to class and sharing with classmates instead. Until my teacher finally called my mother to confirm that no, I hadn't made that shit up.
And no, I did not get the books for free, my mother eventually signed the form...

I loved the music video and their styling. They look really beautiful!
But the song is not it (for me anyway).
It sounds choppy and strangely unfinished. Like someone created a mash-up of several different songs that don't really match. It's jarring and unpleasant to listen to. But again, this is just my personal opinion. I'm clearly not the target audience for this kind of music and I would've hated this song regardless of who released it.

Life is probably too short to figure that one out.

It's a bit like the assumption that all mothers love their children and only ever want what's best for them.
I don't doubt that most do indeed, but some love only themselves and it's quite painful to have to explain this over and over only to get judged harshly and deemed a bad person anyway. Somehow it is always the children's fault. Because we're not obedient enough, because we don't listen well enough, aren't supportive enough or just not understanding enough...
People can be extremely cruel and parents are people so they're no exception.
I neither need nor want abusive people in my life, regardless of who they are and how closely related we may be. I'd rather deal with people judging me tbh. At the end of the day it's still the lesser of two evils.

I wish it was getting warmer.
Summer tends to be the best day of the year.
