i beg to differ. Not at you mentioning Momoland BB and Baam being "copies" but trying to play off Up&Down & Ah yeah as "didnt sound like copies"
Ah Yeah was basically a bland copy of Up & Down which resulted in people saying that they are repetitive. To add to that, Ah Yeah even having a similar line distribution - hanni, junghwa verses sandwiched with LE raps + solji & hyerin sings 1 line of each chorus + the hook/post chorus. If you say Pink Hot or LIE are different, at least those are more sensible...
After reading your comment I re-listened both songs (Up&Down and Ah Yeah) and I still stand by my opinion. Both songs share the same main producer and as you said, both songs share a similar line distribution If not the same. With that said, both of this songs have a very different tone: "Up&Down" seems more like a lighthearted dance song, so full of hooks that in hindsight everyone could understand that it would have become a viral hit. "Ah Yeah" sounds and feels way more "serious" - LE's rap sounds way more confrontational and that's because the lyrics tell the story of a woman being harassed, and that is also portrayed in the music video's visuals. The songs give very different vibes, at least to me.
Comparing this to Momoland: "Baam" doesn't only feel like a copy of their hit song only because of the sound of it,but also because the concept is the same. People got tierd of the group easily, while EXID managed to sustain their popularity a bit more because even If all their songs sound similar, they switched it up with the concepts a bit and so that similarity got precieved as them having a strong sound-identity. At least, that's my theory

Girls Generation released their smash-hit "Gee" and then proceeded to release the best girl group song ever "Genie"
"Hoot", "Oh" and "Run Devil Run" were also big follow-ups that kept their momentum alive. The SM producers really had the formula down then
A groups that did well in this area was EXID, After "Up&Down" rthey eleased titles that were in the same line of the hit song but that still didn''t sound like copies (like momoland did)
other groups that did well at this were Gfriend, Infinite, VIXX, Secret and many more

yay! that's amazing
is he going to promote on music programs for another week?

If I was in that place (not wanting /having enough money to buy a lightstick of the group I'm going to watch) I would just go empty-handed.
I find it weird to bring another group's lightstick to a kpop concert, but at the end of the day It is such a first-world-problem, a non-issue that I don't even care If the some people in the crowd are coming with other groups' lightsticks

Both are good, but I do prefer Get A Guitar,, mainly because I love hearing the sound of the electric guitar and I love funky music

I guess what OP says makes sense, but still there are many aspects of the entrateinment industry that make their workers face more challenges than the "normal" person who works faces; first, being a celebrity is hard, you have to deal with paparazzi, stalkers and people who want to know about your private life at all costs - being an idol means you have to mantain a clean image on top of this too.
Then It is known that most singers are or were being exploited monetarily by signing contracts with the labels. The situation is better now than the one of 20 or 15 years ago, but still I think It's right to say that most idols (even the rich ones ) don't earn as much as they should for their work.
Also It is a known fact that if you enter to that industry, you kinda have to excange """favors""" to, for example, appear in an AD, have more screentime, have a part in a drama/movie etc.
With this I'm not saying that all idols have to deal with these three things, I'm saying that being in the eintrateinment industry presents many challenges that the average worker doesn't have to worry about to the same extent

It's a bop because I love funk in Kpop, and this song has plenty of it! The only thing I don't like is that it's very short, It could have been even better with longer choruses
Btw I love the choreo! It maches the song perfectly, I love the groove
