I don't know her so I don't know if she knew and really realized what she was doing or not. Even if she didn't have bad intentions she should apologize and reflect.
None the less for people claiming that she has the knowledge for sure and that people in other countries are learning about WWII. I can't even count how many times higher ups and politicians from different countries called the death camps as "Polish death camp''. People that should be educated and still are spreading such false facts. How many people would not be even able to provide a start-end date for WWII. It's sad but true that a lot of people don't care about history - especially if they families were not directly affected.
On the other hand how many Europeans after coming to Japan, Korea or other Asian countries are shocked that there is 'swastika' everywhere because they are mistaking the buddist symbol as the nazi symbol.
