These performances were done 1-2 months ago, but let's take another look.
IVE (split into 2 teams) covered Boombayah & Forever Young: IVE vs IVE
NMIXX covered Kill This Love: It's Live
Some things to consider:
1. IVE performed on a variety show just goofing around doing karaoke
2. NMIXX performed on a pro stage with all the bells & whistles
3. NMIXX cover has 3.1M views. IVE vid has 230K (I have no idea what the ratings were for the show)
Now, some would say NMIXX wins easily hands down. I see the opposite.
In my eyes, the KTL cover was very soulless and pretentious. Like the kind of thing you hear on the phone after an automated voice says, "Please hold, your call is very important to us." It also wreaked of clout-chasing and desperation for relevance.
IVE, on the other hand, was very endearing and it's obvious they appreciate the source material and respect BP. They came off cute and relatable. They also told you they were talented without telling you they were talented. Also, I'm on Team Forever Young.
