New upcoming J-pop Idol style girl group MIKO DOLL produced by the former Japanese Idol Tomita Mayu who was a member of the J-pop Idol girl group AKB48 :

CALL FOR AUDITION | MIKO DOLL - Global Idol Project [Viet Sub] :

Tomita Mayu is searching girls who are aged from 18 years old to 30 years old for her upcoming J-pop Idol style girl group MIKO DOLL and you will have the opportunity to perform in Japan.

It is expected that after their debut, the J-pop Idol style girl group MIKO DOLL will go to Japan and perform on the stage of the Vietnam Festival at the end of 2022 (Time may change depending on the Covid-19 situation).

5 people will be selected in Vietnam.

Tomita Mayu is going to Vietnam in June.

Tomita Mayu is going to France in July.

The J-pop Idol style girl group MIKO DOLL will debut at Vietnam festival at Sapporo in Septembre of this year.

Tomita Mayu is going to Singapore in November.

Q&A About MIKO-DOLL Project :

MIKO DOLL will be created first with 5 members from Saigon then they will form a MIKO-DOLL in other countries and have gen 1, gen 2, gen 3, etc.

They still don't know which other countries specifically they will form MIKO-DOLL.

MIKO-DOLL will perform in Japan and Vietnam.

The group will perform in Japanese language.

This seems like a very ambitious project.

Music groups are not popular in Vietnam.

I don't get why she didn't create a J-pop Idol style group in Thailand as J-pop Idol style groups are more popular in Thailand than in Vietnam ?

For me, it seems that Thailand is the only Southeast Asian where J-pop Idol groups have some popularity.

Besides Thailand, there is only in Mainland China and Taiwan where J-pop Idol style groups have some popularity.

Should she have created a group first in Thailand or Mainland China or Taiwan rather than in Vietnam ?

i don't think they randomly picked vietnam. it might be because sgo48 disbanded because of covid and they think there might be a gap to fill.

thailand already has a few Japanese style idol groups of various sizes and styles, so maybe they don't think there's room.

im not sure what the group's ultimate goal is but if they want to establish a group in Vietnam, they should sing in Vietnamese

On the story page of the official website of MIKO DOLL, they said that they want to revitalize Japan by spreading the traditional Japanese culture in Japan and around the world as the traditional Japanese culture is disappearing in Japan.

If they really cared about revitalizing Japan by spreading traditional Japanese culture, they should create a music group with Japanese members and not foreign members.

If I want to create a music group to revitalize Vietnam by spreading traditional Vietnamese culture in Vietnam and around the world, why should I create a group with Japanese members to spread traditional Vietnamese culture in Vietnam and around the world ? It makes no sense.

Tomita Mayu of AKB48 said that MIKO DOLL will sing in Japanese.

My mom said that MIKO DOLL should sing in Vietnamese instead of Japanese as MIKO DOLL will sing in Vietnam because Vietnamese people don't understand Japanese.

In a language there is also a cultural aspect.

Language is part of a culture.

The former Vietnamese Chinese Idol Yui from the Vietnamese J-pop Idol style girl group UniDiaCheck aka Uniche said that they will will have 2 versions for each of their music videos (they never released a music video and disbanded but whatever) with one version being sung in Japanese and another version being sung in Vietnamese so that Vietnamese people will understand and that it will help to spread the Idol culture.

The Vietnamese J-pop Idol style groups SGO48, Niji Universe Inc., UniDiaCheck aka Uniche sung in Vietnamese and Japanese and END OF IDOL will have songs released in Vietnamese. At least, they understood something.

Polaris Idol Group like MIKO DOLL is also a Vietnamese J-pop Idol style girl group owned by a Japanese company and that Japanese company gave them áo dài cách tân (which is a modernized version of a an áo dài which is one of the traditional Vietnamese dresess) to wear as their main outfit, their emblem which makes them connect with the Vietnamese culture and so that they don't feel completely isolated, alienated for the Vietnamese public. I have not heard Polaris Idol Group singing in Vietnamese at concerts but they have one video were they made a cover of a Vietnamese lunar new year song sung in Vietnamese while wearing their emblem outfit which looks uggly for me as there are more prettier Việt phục cách tân (modernized traditional Vietnamese dresses) but at least there is some Vietnamese culture to make a bridge between the Vietnamese and the Japanese culture :

The MIKO DOLL project feels like making the Japanese Empire great again by using foreigners to obligate them to only have the possibility to use the Japanese language and forbid them to speak in their own native language to conquer the world by spreading Japanese culture around the world and erase the culture of inferior races as the Japanese race is going to rule around eight corners of the world above all the other inferior races.

Besides the language and the cultural aspects, there is the group aspect in Vietnam which is known that pop groups are not popular in Vietnam with the exception of 365daband.

Be it be Korean wave project or a Cool Japan project or not linked at all to a government finance, I really don't know what is the heads of those foreigners who are creating Vietnamese groups as Vietnamese pop groups are not popular in Vietnam. Do they know that ? Do they understand that ?

If you want to revitalize Japan by creating a Vietnamese group then I think that there will be little to no chance of success of revitalizing Japan.
