just because an idol did something on their own doesn't make it good

  • i remember everyone hated on lisa's money dance, saying it was really bad/mediocre and trashing the choreographer and then swf happened and it was revealed that lee jung choreographed it and all of a sudden, it was like "omgosh shes such a good choreographer. money's choreo is soo good"

and literally so many kpop idols who write their own raps or choreograph something, itll be so mediocre/ sometimes honestly really bad and if fans didn't know that it was done by the idol themselves, they would have hated on it, but because they did it they pretend like it its super good and praise their idol for it.

an example. jennis's solo rap that she wrote. it was so mid and lacked compared to the original verse but just because she wrote it, everyone hyped her up for it. another example is momo's hit the stage dangerous love dance. i know she choreographed but it was such a let down and her fans just covered it up because she did it. if it was someone else's choreo, they would have trashed jyp for giving momo such a trash choreo and making her look bad. honestly most idol "rappers" who write and get praised for it are examples because most of the time, their lyricism is trash and they can barely rap but just because they wrote it themselves, fans act like they're good at rapping. idol "dancers" too. a lot of them can dance really well but can't choroegraph/freestyle and it's not like those are mututally exclusive but fans act like their choreos/freestyles are good when they're not.

just because an idol wrote something/ choreographed something doesn't make it good. literally every idol can sit down and write something or choreograph something but theres a clear difference between something being good and bad but fans will just run with the fact that their idol wrote/choreographed it and that automatically makes it good

  • to add on, idols that act. some of them are good and some of them can't act to save their lives (you know which ones) but fans hype it up either way. like im sure ur idol spent a lot of time filming and stuff but that doesn't make them a good actor/actress

  • True. I always see fans complaining companies don’t let their faves write and compose more often but the few songs that they did bring some input are their worst songs.
