Do you think BTS album hiatus is HYBE doing or BTS doing?

    Approved the thread.
  • Both probably wanted their contract with Columbia Records to end before the new full length album era

  • bts. they chose touring over new album. thinking they would release it while they are still on tour is ridiculous. after they've finished with it they'll release it

  • i think both agree on it

  • boring thread for people with too much free time on their hands to theorize and speculate

  • The good things are bts doing and the bad are hybe's doing, according to fans.

The reality is somewhere in between. Both sides probably chose to focus on making more money, hence the tours.

It’s dealership at the end of the day but fans like to pretend BTS is chain bound. It might very well be the company’s choice which BTS probably agreed to, or the other way around. Also you don’t have to be a fan to notice that their main focus is on touring right now.

BTS seems to have a huge flair for performing. They probably love performing for their fans, and tour is not the only source they are making huge money with. If you noticed Hybe actions you would see that. For artist of their calibre their ticketing price is surprisingly low

  • Probably both, but i wouldn't put it past hybe to manipulate them a bit.

Hearing/reading some of the things the boys have said, some decisions seem to be made by hybe & then they convinced bts that its the best for them/the fans even if they might not like it (even if the fans would support pretty much anything the boys like)

  • Both

Things still go through BTS’ approval since they are involved.

Other companies can release comebacks and albums like clockwork since the idols themselves don’t really have production and lyrical inputs.

  • I really wonder if any of the boys will resign when their contracts are over. After they resigned the last time (during 2019?), it's very clear how much Hybe has changed.

  • It would be nice to think that they are on strike and refusing to make any more Bruno Mars lite pop
