money is still pulling good numbers for a kpop solo, but if you compare it with most songs that went viral on tiktok, it lost most of its hybe the moment sg did.
for example Stay from kid roi went viral on tiktok too, but it kept pulling insane streaming numbers even when the tiktok virality faded.

It's still on tth so obviously it'll pull numbers.

It's still pulling numbers but it dropped real fast for a song that was that big. It seemed to be dropping more once it went out of top 50 spotify. TikTok songs that hit such peaks usually last a long while and money is in English so I expected it to last even longer. It seemed to be just a phase for most people. Still pulling more numbers than majority of kpop though.

Almost half a year and it’s still around top 100 Spotify global
which is amazing, but not that impressive if you consider the virality it had on tiktok.
you could almost not escape the sound on tiktok when sg was at its peak,
so doing less than 1m after only 6m isn't up to par with other (even smaller) tiktok hits.

Money had literally no promotion to boost it further and blinks aren't big enough in US to mass buy a non discounted song so its doing what it had to do, someone really out here compared Stay to money when that song has freaking Jb in it, besides the virality, let's not act like scooby doo doesn't do heavy payola for his fav artist under his management.

It's still charting though. When does a kpop song ever have that longevity? I think it's just Lisa and BTS.
I think the Black Label team did Lisa dirty. "She chose those songs herself" but what were the other choices though? Acting like it was her bad taste - you think there was an Umbrella in there, or an Irreplaceable? For all we know Lalisa and Money were the cream of the crop. You know they not giving her their best stuff.
And it outsold to the extent that YG still won't release her full sales figures, when they gave regular updates for the others. And they cancelled the kit version of her album and most of the vinyls. It's like her own record company want her to be successful, but not too much.
So no the songs are not good. But can Miss Lalisa make a diamond encrusted silk purse out of a pigs ear? Yes she can. Twice.

also, tiktok controls mostly what song goes big, no matter what artist or fandom, so Stay & Money are perfectly comparable. BTS couldn't beat Stay at its peak & money was competing with bts songs for a few weeks too (something no bp song has ever done).

That promo is the bare minimum for how big of a song money is omg it is tiny especially compared to what other hits like money gets

Stay continues to get heavy rotation on radio all over the world. Money never got much radio. Its not really a fair comparison

Stay is the biggest hit of 2021. There is no payola. Justin's popularity is god like in front of Lisa's.
