Aespa should feel honored. I was feeling Wooseok's energy during his verses. I wish SME trained Aespa to be able to perform something like this outside of the AR stuff especially during the opening (ELECTRIC!) and the bridge (@3:22).
I think once Aespa's team get their song quality right and they can do vocally-driven-live-performance sets, showing people they are coming for necks, they would get a lot more respect. I'd be impressed. Vocals are a major part of SME's institutional legacy, so I don't think it's a lot to ask.
I liked the begging of this cover. Wouldn't listen to it again though .
