Why are BTS and Blackpink the only kpop groups who achieved global popularity?

    What do you think they have that all the other 152389053 kpop groups don't have? Why are they the only ones were able to achieve this when so many other kpop groups have tried it but failed since the 2nd gen?

    yknow twice is huge in asia, sujus probably big back then too before bts, there's also dbsk, bb, snsd, so many big groups, some just arent big in US.


    US =/= global jezuz. Obvious you didn't mentioned US, but we all know what you mean. Otherwise the title makes no senses as you can see popularity from other groups.

    I would say 90% of it is pure luck (which is why no other groups will ever reach the levels of BTS and even BP respectively again)

    They deserves to be titled "Kings and Queens of K-POP"

    Stop putting BTS and BP in the same sentence. They aren't in the same level.

    BTS achieved it by being true artists and of course all the other things as well, great performers, hard working, etc. BP rode the media play and the road BTS paved.

    How is Twice huge in Asia when China and India doesn't af about them? Both the countries have around 3 billion population you know? so NO, people don't always think about US when speaking about global popularity.

    hey im the op, idk if you are kidding but come on by global im talking about east and west so it does include the US of course, latin american countries too, also twice is only really well known in korea, japan and maybe some countries in sea like taiwan since tzuyu is taiwanese.
