I thought BP had a good chance this year, but if it's not them, then no. Kpop is nothing here compared to rap, country, rock, even R&B sometimes. BTS is the only kpop act up there with industry heavyweights.

not unless somebody gets a viral hit a la Psy and that's so unlikely

people don't get this bc of BB 200 nice chart positions for everyone with album sales which are 99% physicals for K-Pop groups, but K-Pop groups aren't even a blip on the radar of the commitee. nobody has heard a song by them. BTS who are leagues above everyone else in terms of impact are barely even there with their one nom a year. And they're comparitively HUGE. So idk why fans still think their faves have a shot.
