The group will most likely debut with as much popularity as Fromis_9 did in Korea. So in order for the group to be actually considered "successful", they would need to be carried by the C fans, J fans, and the rest of the International fans.
I think the way the show has progress with lacklusting viewership and the stain of the Produce scandal, Mnet will be happy with the same level as Fromis_9, all though I think the group will do a bit better. And many C-Fans and J-Fans will still support the group regardless. They already support a lot of groups having none of their people in it.
