Oh My God. I have one more episode left and I miss this show already. I have absolutley fallen in love with this show. So much has happened since our last message that I don't even know where to begin. I don't have the energy to type out everything I wanted to talk about so I'll just say this is my favorite K drama ever. Well I've only seen like three total lol but still. I'm actually considering even buying the dvd set so I can actually own it. I can already tell this is a show I"m going to want to revisit every two or three years so buying the dvds will be worth it.
But of course the main reason i'm so obsessed with Playful Kiss is beause of Jung So Min. I just can't believe an actress and character can be this cute and loveable. Every second she is on screen I'm in a trance. My new favorite Korean actress. I HAVE to have more of her in my life so I'm going to immediatly start 'Because this is My First Love' right after I finish that final episode of Playful Kiss. I've been looking at her list of dramas and was trying to decide what to watch next so I decided on this one mostly because she has a starring role in it. I'm not expecting it to be as good as Playful Kiss but it's got her in it and it's also only 16 episodes which is the perfect amount for me.
But I loved the rest of the cast too. Everyone was great. I really loved the female cast. I loved the mom (even had a crush on her too) and I actually really liked Hera also. Her and SeungJo looked amazing together if I'm being honest. They would have made a perfeect couple.

There are better kdramas out there, with better stories and situations, yet this one sticks with you and always gives you a warm welcome whenever you want to comeback. So, yes, its place among favorite kdramas is rightfully deserved.
Jung So Min: When I was looking for reviews on this show, people were saying Oh Ha Ni was a stark contrast from her character in Bad Guys (I've never watched the show but I've heard is good too and it seemed it aired before or at the same time as Playful Kiss). I kept track of her career later on but she will always be Oh Ha Ni to me to the point I find it difficult to watch any other show she is in. But do that and tell me, I bet she steals every scene. She has grown into a beautiful woman too.
And yes, the female cast steals the show here. Can you believe the actress who plays the mom has four kids on her own and she is married to a former kpop idol (I'm not sure if Sean was a kpop idol or just a rapper)? I think Hera was put there to show Oh Ha Ni that she was miles away from being SeungJo's type but she persited nonetheless, lol.

I forgot to mention have you ever seen the Chinese drama 'A Love So Beautiful'? I watched that one a few years ago and it reminded me so much of Playful Kiss. Almost the same exact story. High School girl has a huge crush on a school mate who's way smarter and way hotter than her. He also treats her like crap but overtime she wears him down. Also follows them from HS to College. She even has the same friend set as Oh Ha Ni.

Two things I keep forgetting to mention. The actress playing the Mom looks way too young to be his Mom. And I know they are trying to promote the OST but does that "Kiss Kiss" song have to be played in every public setting lol. It got old real quick.
So I've finished the final episode. I've been watching on Prime Video and when it ended there was a START OVER option and I almost clicked it lol. It was so tempting just to start all over from episode 1 right away lol. But I'm gonna try and hold off and watch that other show I mentioned next.
I'm just so happy YouTube recommended it to me. They finally did something right lol. Just a fun, relaxing and easy show to watch. I really needed something like this and I enjoyed my time with it so much. I kind of feel like I was always meant to find this show at some point. Whether it was in 2010, now, or another ten years from now. Some things are just meant to be. That's also howI feel about f(x). It was fate that eventually they would come into my life.
Only thing that was kind of strange at the end was the way they rushed the storyline with that Chris girl. She fell for Joongu real damn quick. Felt kind of forced just to assure the audience that he would find someone else now that Ha Ni was out of the picture.
I really wish Eman would watch this. Maybe our combined powers could convince him too.
