Why did bighit accept naver to own 49% of Weverse?

Naver also invested US$370M, so, voilà. It may sound surprising, but companies are sold and bought.

Both companies must have seen their competition as a big enough threat to come to an agreement to strengthen both their platforms. Naver is the bigger company of the two, and perhaps this relationship comes with a lot of other bonuses to BH. (But we won't know until we see more)
I am glad that Weverse Company (Soon to be, now BeNX) is a different subsidiary than BigHit ENt at least, protects the other sides of their business if this doesn't work out.

It’s the other way around
Hmm it's currently BeNX, and it will be rebranded as Weverse Company - is that what you mean? I can clarify my post, the way I wrote it was weird!

Weverse doesn't have a streaming platform, Naver got that and stronger server. So BH bought it by giving naver 49% of the ownership.
