Gifting them things, complimenting them in public, pampering them? I've noticed its always the people in authority positions who seem to do this often. Outsiders are so blinded by authority that they can never do anything wrong. I understand wanting to keep a good image outside but why follow through with threats in private. If you get hurt and don't keep up that facade in public or private they kick your damn door open. If you wanna distance yourself for the shit they do your cOlD, misunderstanding or petty or ungrateful. The world's easier black and white where bad guys are recognised as bad guys no matter how many gifts or compliments they give. I don't understand the appeal of keeping your enemies close.
